Results
- Irritation parameter:
- conjunctivae score
- Basis:
- animal #1
- Time point:
- other: 60 minutes after dosing.
- Score:
- 1
- Max. score:
- 1
- Reversibility:
- fully reversible within: 24 hr.
- Remarks on result:
- other: Observation was in only one animal.
- Irritant / corrosive response data:
- A conjunctival redness score of 1 observed 60 minutes after treatment in one animal was the only evidence of an irritant effect. This finding was fully reversable after 24 hr.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- not irritating
- Remarks:
- Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
- Conclusions:
- 3-Chloropropene is not irritating to the rabbit eye.
- Executive summary:
3 -Chloropropene, a structural analog for AC Light Ends, was evaluated for eye irritation potential by an O.E.C.D. 405 "Acute Eye Irritation/Corrosion" Testing guideline study. A conjuctival redness score of 1 was observed in one animal 60 minutes after treatment. This finding was fully reversable after 24 hr. Therefore, 3-Chloropropene is not irritating to the rabbit eye under the conditions of the study. This finding is believed to be representative of AC Light Ends.
