Additional information

Solvent Brown 41 is an insoluble substance ( water solubility < 22 mg/l from experimental, ca. 0.018 mg/l from estimation by EPISUITE v 4.11, finally set < 0.1 mg/l) that, consequently, cannot undergo biodegradation.

Biodegradation test was however conducted on analogue substance 1 that, under the test conditions, showed a solubility <50 mg/l, required by the guideline OECD302B for validity criteria. Based on the very low solubility of the substance under the test conditions the analogue substance 1 did not show any degradation potential. Based on the read across considerations, the same can be applied to Solvent Brown 41 which is considered as not biodegradable.
