First-aid measures
- After inhalation: Supply fresh air. Seek medical treatment in case of complaints.
- After skin contact: Immediately wash with water and soap and rinse throughly. If skin irritation continues, consult a doctor.
- After eye contact: Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Then consult a doctor.
- After swallowing: If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious). Drink plenty of water and provide fresh air. Do not induce vomiting; call for medical help immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
- Special hazards caused by the substance, its products of combustion or resulting gases: In case of fire, the following can be released: Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Toxic metal oxide smoke.
- Protective equipment: Wear fully protective suit. Wear self-contained respiratory protective device. Do not inhale explosion gases or combustion gases.
- Additional information: Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Accidental release measures
- Measures for environmental protection: Do not allow to enter sewers/surface or ground water. Inform respective authorities in case of seepage
into water course of sewage system.
- Measures for cleaning/collecting: Pick up mechanically. Avoid formation of dust. Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.
Handling and storage
- Information for safe handling: Wear protective clothing. Avoid contact with the eye and skin. Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Open and handle receptacle with care. Precent formation of dust.
- Information about fire - and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke. Protect from heat.
- Storage:
- Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in cool, dry conditions in well sealed receptacles.
- Information about storage in one common storage facility: Keep away from ignition sources.
- Further information about storage conditions: Keep container tightly sealed. Store receptacle in a well ventilated area.

Exposure controls / personal protection
- Personal protective equipment:
- General protective and hygienic measures: Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work. Avoid contact with the eyes and skin. Do not inhale dust/ smoke/ mist. As a general protective measure, the use skin protection cream for skin protection is recommended.
- Respiratory protection: Recommended filter device for short term use during special procedures - Filter P3. Filter FFP3.
- Protection of hands: As a general protective measure, the use of protective gloves is recommended
- Material of gloves: Butyl rubber, BR. Nitrile rubber, NBR. Wear gloves for the protection against mechanical hazards according to EN 388. PVC
gloves.
- Penetration time of glove material: The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be
observed.
- Eye protection: As a general preventive measure, the use of goggles is recommended
- Body protection: Protective work clothing
Stability and reactivity
spontaneous ignition on heating. Protect from heat and direct sunlight.
- Dangerous reactions: Reacts with strong acids.
- Dangerous decomposition products: Carbon oxide nickel
Disposal considerations
- Recommendation: Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations.
- Uncleaned packaging:
- Recommendation: Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product. Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
