Materials and methods

Test guideline
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The pH-values was determined from the washed Ag-concentrate suspension. The suspension was done with deionised water. The pH was measured by using the eletrode and the pH-sheet. The washing of concentrate was done by using 1 litre and 2 litre of deionised water. The liquid to solid ratio was 5:1.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The pH of the concentrate is acidic after washing with five times greater amount of water in relation to the solid content. After proper washing the pH remains at pH level of 4. The pH of the eluate after the 24-h leaching study (EN-12457-2) conducted for washed substance was also acidic (pH 3.7).
