Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice : First aider needs to protect himself. Place affected clothing in a sealed bag for subsequent decontamination.
Inhalation : Move to fresh air.
Skin contact : Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately.
Eye contact : Rinse with running water whilst keeping the eyes wide open (atleast 15 minutes)
Ingestion : Do NOT induce vomiting.Rinse mouth with water.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media : powder, Water spray, Foam
Unsuitable extinguishing media : High volume water jet
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Specific hazards during fire fighting: Flammable liquid, Vapour/air-mixtures are explosive at intense warming.
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 133), Full protective suit
Specific fire fighting methods : Evacuate personnel to safe areas.Cool containers / tanks with water spray.Do not inhale fumes.
Wear suitable protective equipment.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Avoid contact with skin.Remove all sources of ignition.Tightly fitting safety goggles. For further information refer to section 8 "Exposure controls/personal protection".Mark the contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorized personnel. Signal word. Stop leak if safe to do so.
Environmental precautions : Prevent product from entering drains.
Methods for Cleaning or Taking Up
Recovery : Pump up the product into a spare container :- suitably labelled.
Neutralization : Absorb non-recoverable liquid with: Sawdust, Dry sand
Decontamination/cleaning : Wash off with plenty of water.
Disposal : Treat recovered material as described in the section "Disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
Handling
Technical measures : Keep in a bunded area. No smoking. Earth the equipment.
Advice on safe handling and usage: Provide adequate ventilation.
Storage
Technical Measures for storage : The floor of the depot should be impermeable and designed to form a water-tight basin.
Storage conditions
Recommended : Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.
Incompatible products : Strong oxidizing agents
Packaging Measures
Packaging conditions : Steel drum

Exposure controls / personal protection
Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection : Use a respirator with an approved filter if a risk assessment indicates this is necessary
Hand protection : Where there is a risk of contact with hands, use appropriate gloves. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. PVC gloves
Eye protection : Goggles
Skin and body protection : Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Remove and wash contaminated clothing. Protective suit
Hygiene measures : Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Use clean, well-maintained personal protection equipment. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Protective measures : The protective equipment must be selected in accordance with current CEN standards and in cooperation with the supplier of the protective equipment. Selection of appropriate personal protective equipment should be based on an evaluation of the performance characteristics of the protective equipment relative to the task(s) to be performed, conditions present, duration of use, and the potential hazards and/or risks that may occur during use.
General advice : Prevent product from entering drains.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability : Stable at room temperature.
Hazardous reactions
Materials to avoid : Strong acids, Strong bases, Flammable materials, Strong oxidizing agents
Decomposition products : On combustion or on thermal decomposition (pyrolysis) releases: Toxic Gas
Disposal considerations
Product Disposal
Interdiction : Avoid release to the environment.
Advice on Disposal : Must be incinerated in a suitable incineration plant holding a permit delivered by the competent authorities.
Advice on cleaning and disposal of packaging
Measures for waste avoidance. : Do not dispose of the product at a rubbish tip.
Advice : Allow it to drain thoroughly. Clean using steam.
Other data : Dispose of in accordance with local regulations
