Description of key information

Data waived - Study scientifically not necessary / other information available. The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid which melts above 300oC. No determination of boiling temperature was performed in accordance with the exceptions listed in column 2 of REACH Annex VII and section R.7.1.3 ‘Boiling Point’ of the REACH guidance document and in accordance with Method A2 Boiling Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 103 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995. Data were waived because the test material was confirmed not to melt below 573 K (300°C) and the material decomposed without melting from approximately 513 K during the determination of melting/freezing temperature. See Melting Point data in IUCLID section 4.2 (Study report #2877-0015: Harlan Labs: Nickel hydroxycarbonate determination of general physico-chemical properties. Study in 2010; Report March 24, 2010).
