The physicochemical data on the main component , 2 -(2 -aminoethylamino)ethanol, a.k.a aminoethylethanolamine or AEEA, are presented in the lead company's dossier. In addition, the physico-chemical data for the two main impurities, the "Amines, polyethylene polyethylene-, trietythelenetetramine fraction:", a.k.a triethylenetetramine (TETA) and n-aminoethylpiperazine (n-AEP), are presented per endpoint as supporting studies. Wherever the properties of either a-AEP or TETA indicate that the safety assessment should be based on data from either of these these substances, the relevant study has been declared key study.
