Dichromium tris(chromate) is an inorganic salt, with a melting point >300°C and relative density of 2.269 (at 20°C). The substance is described as a dark purple/black granular solid, with an amorphous non-crystalline structure. The solubility of the substance in water was determined to be 96.6 g/L. The substance did not ignite up to 400°C, and is not highly flammable. Dichromium tris(chromate) is not an oxidising solid.
