Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex VIII, the hydrolysis as a function of pH study (required in section 9.2.2.1) does not need to be conducted as the test substance is not chemically well defined and all the main components are not susceptible to hydrolysis. Due to the structural properties, the substance has no hydrolysable groups and therefore, it is concluded that hydrolysis neither is an important process in the fate of oil shale thermal processing residue nor has any considerable effect on the stability of the test substance during the aquatic toxicity studies performed with the substance.
