Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The stability of the substance in water was examined according to OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, Section 1- Physical-Chemical Properties, OECD TG 111 (2004), and EC Guidelines Part C - Methods for the Determination of the ecotoxicological properties, C.7 (1992), "Hydrolysis as a function of pH". This substance is hydrolytic stable at pH 4 and a half-life of 80-140 h at pH 7 and 9 under elevated temperature 65 °C and 80 °C was observed. According to the result from preliminary test, the half-life of the test substance at pH 7 and 25 °C is approximately 1 year, which indicates that the test substance is hydrolytically stable under environmentally relevant conditions.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
1 yr
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

In the preliminary test, at all three pH-values only a slight degradation of 10-20 % was observed after 5 days at 50 °C. 10 % hydrolysis of a test substance at 50 °C corresponds to a half-life of approximately 30 days which corresponds to a value of approximately 1 year at 25 °C (OECD TG 111, 2004). Therefore further tests at lower temperature than 50 °C were considered as irrelevant and only tests at higher temperatures (e.g. 65 °C and 80 °C) were performed.
