Ecotoxicological information

Toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria

Administrative data

Endpoint:
toxicity to aquatic algae and cyanobacteria
Type of information:
migrated information: read-across from supporting substance (structural analogue or surrogate)
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: see 'Remark'
Remarks:
The presented data have been retrieved from US EPA's ECOTOX Database, Version 4 (2012). This database provides single chemical toxicity information for aquatic and terrestrial life. The concomitant information within the database (such as indentification of guidelines and methods used) is reduced to the necessary minimum and usually not reported. Nevertheless, the toxicity data deposited has been derived from peer-reviewed literature and can therefore be regarded as valid information.

Effect concentrations
Duration:
96 h
Effect conc.:
>= 1 000 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
nominal
Conc. based on:
element
Remarks:
Lithium
Basis for effect:

Remarks on result:
other: equivalent to >= 5559 mg/L Li3PO4
Details on results:
Conversion:
1000 mg/L : 6.94 u (atomic weight of Li) = 144.1 mmol/L
144.1 mmol/L : 3 = 48
48 x 115.82 (molecular weight of Li3PO4) = 5559 mg/L
