Description of key information

Oral LD50 value for the test item was > 5000 mg/kg bw in rats.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
LD50

Additional information

Testing acute oral toxicity in male and female rats according to OECD TG 401 revealed that the oral LD50 value is > 5000 mg/kg bw.

Therefore, the test item has not to be classified for acute oral toxicity according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and Council Directive 67/548/EEC.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to the low observed toxicity in an experimental guideline study (LD50 > 5000 mg/kg bw) the test item has not to be classified for acute toxicity.
