Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Howard (1996) reported the value for the water solubility in his handbook. The original text was not availabe lending no assignment on the reliability of the value.

Dennis (1983) and Paya-Perez (1995) both published very well documented studies on the water solubility at pH 5 at 19 °C for the former and 20 °C ±1 °C for the later. The studies have been carried out following methods similar to OECD guideline 105, by the shake flask or an analytic GC experiment. Both document are reliable with restrictions and the value is in excellent agreement with the value from the key study.

Halarnakar (2015) conducted a study in compliance with the principles of GLP according to Directive 2004/10/EC. The study was carried out following OECD guideline 105 and EPA OPPTS 830.7840. Therefore the study is considered reliable and the value 30 mg/L at 20 °C is carried forward for the purpose of risk assessment, classification and labelling.
