Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

HPLC method

Details on study design: HPLC method:
TEST ITEM SOLUTIONS
- Test substance was dissolved in DMF (20 ml) to prepare a stock solution of 1600 µg/mL. This solution was injected through the HPLC.
- Tests to determine the adsorption coefficient (Koc) were performed with methanol and with acetonitrile as organic solvents. These solvents were not sufficient to elute the test item from the column. During the runs, no test item peak was detected.

EQUIPMENT
- Apparatus: Varian autosampler 9095; Varian pump 230; Jones column oven 7990
- Type, material and dimension of analytical column: LIChrospher 100 CN, part, size 5 pm, 250 mm x 4 mm

REFERENCE SUBSTANCES
- No reference items were used

DETERMINATION OF RETENTION TIMES
- Quantity of test substance introduced in the column: 10 µL

EVALUATION
- Calculation of capacity factors k': The capacity factor (k') was calculated for each reference item using the retention times.
- Determination of the log Koc value: The log Koc was calculated using a regression curve (log k' vs. log Koc)

Results and discussion

Results: HPLC method

Details on results (HPLC method):
The test item is not stable in aqueous solution, hydrolysis occurs immediately by contact with water . During the test no suitable solvent was found to elute the test item from the HPLC column. Acetonitrile and methanol were testes and were not sufficient as no test item was eluted from the column.
Therefore, the adsorption coefficient (Koc) of the test substance could not be determined using the HPLC method.
