The main fate of disulphur dichloride is the rapid hydrolysis yielding the hydrolysis products elementary sulphur, sulphide, sulphate, sulphite, thiosulphate and chloride. Biodegradation does not apply to inorganic substances, and bioaccumulation is not relevant due to the rapid hydrolysis.
