Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Tests on three trophic levels are available for either the test substance (Dapnia test BMG 2012) or the structural analogue diisopropylbenzene hydroperoxide (acute fish test, Hüls 1993; Daphnia test, Hüls 1989; algae, Hüls 1992). Both the test substance and the structural analogue are considered sufficiently similar to allow read-across (see rationale in chapter 13). The LC50 for fish is 1.7 mg/L (analogue data), the EC50 for Daphnia is 4.1 mg/L and for algae >11.5 mg/L (analogue data). The NOEC for algae is 7.2 mg/L.

Starting point for risk assessment will be the LC50 from the fish study.

The test substance did exhibit some growth effects in micro-organisms (BMG 2012) with a NOEC of 10 mg/L and an EC50 value of 48.1 mg/L.
