The Logkow of EDTAFeHNa was evaluated by calculation at -10.6. This value is scored as Klimisch 2, as it is obtained by an accepted calculation method.
The calculated log Kow value represents the neutral or unionized form. It should be noted that in the ionized form, the log Kow value is probably lower.
A similar Logkow was obtained by calculation with the same computational method on the analogue EDTA-FeNa.3H2O (CAS 15708-41-5), given a value of -8.8.
Thus the calculated log Kow is less than the bioconcentration threshold (log Kow = 3 in DSD or log Kow = 4 in CLP) indicating that EDTA-FeHNa is not expected to be susceptible to bioaccumulation.
