Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
· After inhalation: In case of excessive inhalation, expose the person to fresh air and if necessary, obtain medical assistance. If not breathing give artificial respiration.
· After skin contact: After skin contact Wash skin immediately with water and soap. If any sign of tissue damage or persistent irritation is apparent obtain medical assistance immediately.
· After eye contact: After eye contact immediately rinse eyes with water. If any sign of tissue damage or persistent irritation is apparent, obtain medical assistance immediately.
· After swallowing: Rinse mouth with water(only if the person is conscious). Obtain medical assistance immediately. Do not induce vomiting.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Skin contact: irritation, stinging
Eye contact: irritation, reddening, swelling
Inhalation: Choking, drowsiness, respiratory disruptions
Ingestion: queasiness, stomach aches
· Information for doctor: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
· Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, Dry chemical powder or foam.
· For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: Do not use water directly.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: May produce carbon mono-oxide and carbon dioxide.
· Protective equipment: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.
· Additional information High temperatures can provoke high pressures inside the closed packages.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear protective equipment. Keep unprotected persons away.
Environmental precautions: Spillages should be contained by use of sand or another inert material. Avoid penetration in the sewage system and surface water.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb with liquid-binding material (sand, diatomite, acid binders, universal binders, sawdust). Dispose of the material collected according to regulations.
Reference to other sections: No dangerous substances are released.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Precaution sould be taken to prevent material from splashing into the eyes and skin. Wear protective clothing and eye goggles.
Information about fire - and explosion protection: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
· Requirements to be met by storerooms and receptacles: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.
· Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from acid, alkaline and strong oxidizing agents.
· Further information about storage conditions: Keep in air tight containers protected from light.
· Specific end use(s) This material is used as an ingredient in the manufacturing of aromatic bases.

Exposure controls / personal protection
· General protective and hygienic measures: The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.
· Respiratory protection: Suitable respiratory protective device recommended.
· Protection of hands: The glove material has to be impermeable and resistant to the product/ the substance/ the preparation. Due to missing tests no recommendation to the glove material can be given for the product/ the preparation/ the chemical mixture. Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation
· Material of gloves: The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality
and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
· Penetration time of glove material: The exact break through time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be
observed.
Stability and reactivity
Possibility of hazardous reactions No dangerous reactions known.
Conditions to avoid Prolonged or excessive heat, pressure and inadequate manipulation of packages.
Incompatible materials: Acid, alkaline and strong oxidizing agents.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Under normal conditions of storage are not known dangerous substances in decomposition.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods : Recommendation Dispose off waste material according to local, state and federal regulations.
Uncleaned packaging: Recommendation: Disposal must be made according to official regulations.
