Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Determination of the acute toxicity of FAT 41024/B for Zebra-fish.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water fish

Fresh water fish
Effect concentration:
1.5 mg/L

Additional information

FAT 41024/B was tested for its acute toxicity to Zebra-fish in a 96 hours static test.

Results:

Due to the very low water solubility of the test substance in water the actual concentrations of dissolved test substance in the analysed

test media were below the analytical detection limit of 1.5 mg/l. The test solution was prepared according to the "OECD_Guidance

document on aquatic toxicity testing of difficult substances" (Draft June 1998] and the "Guidance on the aquatic toxicity testing of

difficult substances" (Department of the Environment, London, United Kingdom, May 1996) to ensure that the fish were exposed to

the maximum achievable dissolved concentration of the test substance in the test medium (= saturation concentration).

LC-values after 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours:

- LC50 > saturation concentration (> 100 mg/l nominal, < 1.5 mg/l actual concentration) (95% confidence limit n.d.)

- LC0 saturation concentration (100 mg/l nominal, < 1.5 mg/l actual concentration)

- LC100 > saturation concentration (> 100 mg/l nominal, < 1.5 mg/l actual concentration)

n.d. for the present data, this value could not be determined
