Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. Eyelids should be
held away from eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. seek
medical advice if irritation develops
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash immediately with soap and
water
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Waterspray or foam
Product arising from burning: The typical spectrum of pyrolysis products from pyrethroids
include the parent material (approx. 30% vapourised),
polymerised material (approx. 30%) and thermal degradation
products including chrysanthemic acid, it's lactone, pyrocin
and products of the alcohol moiety
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear self contained breathing apparatus. Wear suitable
protective clothing and eye/face protection.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spill area. Prevent liquid entering sewers,
basements and workpits. Absorb with suitable material.
Consult an expert. If the substance entered a water course
or sewer advise authorities.
Handling and storage
Handling: Provide adequate ventilation. Wear protective gloves,
goggles and suitable clothing
Storage: Store in a dry, well ventilated place away from sources of
heat and direct sunlight. Avoid high temperatures.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 1.2 l lacquered tin-plate containers

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Contaminated water should not be allowed to enter drainage
system or water courses
Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Dust explosion: Substance is organic powder, possibility of dust explosion.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery by absorption (620). Prevent liquid entering
sewers, basements and workpits. Waste or recovered material
should be disposed of as hazardous waste, which should be
incinerated (661; product contains nitrogen)
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended. Flue gases should be scrubbed, (661; product
contains nitrogen)
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Used aerosol cans should be disposed of appropriately and
may be recycled (612)
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not recommended
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended
