Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Additional information

Hydrolysis:

The substance is not expected to undergo hydrolysis in the environment due to lack of hydrolysable functional groups. Additionally, the solubility of this UVCB substance in aqueous solution is very low and specific and sensitive analytical tools to support the analysis of samples from the hydrolysis test are not available.

Ready biodegradability:

The substance was not readily biodegradable in water (3% after 28 days) under the conditions of the CO2 Headspace test (OECD 310), and not inherently biodegradable in water (41% after 56 days) under the conditions of the Concawe test (OECD 302D). Further investigation/testing on ultimate degradation in surface water, sediment and soil was deemed not necessary in result of the Chemical Safety Assessment.

Adsorption/desorption coefficient:

Eleven test substance related peaks were observed in the HPLC screening test according to OECD 121. The resulting Koc and log Koc values of the substance at neutral pH can be divided into 2 groups: 1. A small fraction with Koc <18 (log Koc <1.26) and 2. the major fraction with Koc in the range 55000-160000 (log Koc 4.74 – 5.20), respectively. This indicates that when the substance would end up in the soil compartment it will be highly immobile there.
