Administrative data

First-aid measures

General information: Pay attention to self-protection! Immediately remove any contaminated clothing or shoes.
In case of skin contact: Wash with plenty of soap and water. In case of skin reactions, consult a physician.
In case of contact with hot product: Immediately cooling with plenty of water. For treatment of burns and for cleaning of the skin, call a physician immediately.
Following eye contact: Rinse eyes with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time, then consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
In case of inhalation: in case of respiratory complaints consult a doctor immediately.
In case of ingestion: Rinse mouth immediately and drink plenty of water. Seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: no restriction in case of fire
In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
In case of fire build-up of pressure, bursting hazard. Cool containers that are near the source of the fire with water.

Accidental release measures

Absorb with liquid-binding material (e.g. hybilat). Collect in labeled and closed containers for disposal. Wear suitable protective clothing.

Handling and storage

This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for onsite isolated intermediates. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with riskbased management systems is available at each use site.
Keep tightly closed in original container.
No special fire and explosion protection measures are necessary.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Respiratory protection: Combination filtering device (e.g. DIN 3181) in case of vapour formation.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Separate storage of work clothes.

Stability and reactivity

Thermal decomposition: No thermal decomposition in case of intended storage and handling
Hazardous decomposition products: No hazardous decomposition in case of intended storage and handling. In case of fire or thermal decomposition formation of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxides, sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and toxic gases.

Disposal considerations

Proof recovery/recycling. Close and label waste and uncleaned containers and send to waste incinerator facility under observation of official regulations. Consult supplier about waste disposal
