First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General notes: In case of reactions described in hazards identification or other severe, immediate or persisting symptoms seek medical advice and call the nearest poison centre. Show the label
and this safety data sheet.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing becomes difficult, give artificial respiration. Call a
physician.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Flush with copious amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Wash skin with soap and water. If irritation occurs or persists, get medical
attention.
Eyes contact : Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. If irritation occurs or persists, get medical attention.
Ingestion: Get medical attention. Do not induce vomiting unless directed by medical personnel.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Self-protection of the first aider: Wear suitable protective clothing

Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder or water spray.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use a heavy water stream which could cause the formation of a potentially explosive dust-air mixture.

Fire and explosion hazards: Fine particles (such as dust and mist) may fuel fires/explosion. Ignition of a dust cloud produces a strong explosion. Dust clouds are extremely sensitive to electrostatic ignition due low minimum ignition energy.
Specific hazards arising from the substance: May emit toxic fumes: COx, NOx, etc. Dust is combustible when suspended in air. Control ignition sources in areas where this substance in present.
Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment and precautions for firefighters:
As with all fires, evacuate personnel to a safe area. Wear self-contained breathing apparatus
and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory
protection. Move containers from the fire area if possible without increased personal risk.
If possible, contain and collect firefighting water for later disposal. Avoid (reject) firefighting
water to enter environment. Prevent entry to sewers and public waters.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
For non-emergency personnel:
Fence or cordon the affected area and do not allow individuals to touch or walk through the
spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Personnel involved in cleanup
should wear appropriate personal protective (see section 8). Minimize exposure. Avoid
dust generation. Spill should be handled by trained cleaning personnel. Switch off electrical
equipment and remove ignition source. Use non-sparking tools and equipment. Evacuate
area.
For emergency responders:
Spill should be handled by trained cleaning personnel properly equipped with respiratory
and eye protection (see section 8).
Environmental precautions:
Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, surface drainage systems and poorly ventilated areas.
Care should be taken to avoid environmental release. If spill is outdoors, cover with plastic
sheet to minimize spreading or contact with rain.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Clean-up methods: Use dry clean up procedures and avoid generating dust (control dust generation). Wipe up spillage or collect spillage using a high efficiency vacuum cleaner or sweep up. Dampen with water to prevent dusting before sweeping. Place in suitable containers for disposal.
