First-aid measures

General Advice In case of doubt or when symptoms persist, seek medical attention.

Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. If irritation persists, call a physician.

Skin contact: Immediately wash skin with plenty of soap and water for at least 15 minutes.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting without medical advice

Inhalation: If symptoms occur, remove person to fresh air.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide, Dry chemical and Foam

Unsafe extinguishing media: Water. Water spray may be ineffective. If water is used, fog nozzles are preferable. Water may be used to cool closed containers to prevent pressure build-up and possible autoignition or explosion when exposed to extreme heat.

Special exposure hazards: Closed containers may explode (due to the build-up of pressure) when exposed to extreme heat. During emergency conditions overexposure to decomposition products may cause health hazard. Symptoms may not be immediately apparent. Obtain medical attention.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Firefighters should wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA).

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear suitable personal protection equipment.

Cleanup methods: Sweep up material taking care not to generate airborne dust.

Handling and storage

Handling Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Wear suitable personal protection equipment. In case of exposure to environments exceeding the occupational exposure limit, wear a respirator in compliance with national legislation. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Transfer only to approved containers with complete and appropriate labeling.

Storage: Keep containers closed and protect from physical damage.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering controls: Use only with adequate ventilation. Local exhaust preferrable. General exhaust acceptable if the exposure is maintained at below applicable exposure limits.

nuisance particles/nuisance dust: If not specified dusts are:

ACGIH: 10 m/g3 (total dust), 3 mg/m3 (respirable fraction)

OSHA PEL: 15 mg/m3 (total dust), 5 mg/m3 (respirable fraction)

Personal protective equipment:

Eye protection: Avoid eye contact. Safety glasses with side shields.

Skin and body protection: Use suitable protective clothing, gloves and footwear, selected with regard for use conditions and exposure.

Hand protection: Gloves should be worn to prevent skin contact.

Respiratory protection: Avoid breathing dust. Use NIOSH/MSHA approved respiratory protection equipment when airborne exposures exceeds established guidelines. In case of exposure to high levels of airborne mist, wear a respirator in compliance with national legislation. EN 149, P2 Half-mask

Hygiene measures: Wash off with soap and water. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: None

Stability: Stable Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

Possibility of Hazardous Reactions: Hazardous polymerization will not occur.

Conditions to avoid: None known

Materials to avoid (Incompatible Materials): None known

Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal Decomposition may include Oxides of Metals

Disposal considerations

DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS: Dispose in accordance with local, state and national regulations.
