For the first sample the temperature was not recorded before the freezing point. It was observed that the freezing process started at 1.8 °C. The stirrer was rapidly covered with crystals and further stirring was not possible.

Conclusions:
The freezing point of the test item is 1.85ºC at atmospheric pressure.

Executive summary:

The determination of the freezing point of the test item was carried out in accordance with OECD Guideline No. 102 and EU method A.1 (GLP study). The test item was deposited in a test tube which was placed in an outer tube and set in a Dewar vessel containing freezing mixture solid CO2/acetone . The, the test item was stirred and the temperature recorded during cooling until the crystallization occurred. Two measurements were carried out at atmospheric pressure. The freezing point of the test item was determined to be 1.85 ± 0.07ºC (the average value ± SD).

Description of key information

Key study: OECD 102 and EU method A.1. GLP study. The test item has a freezing point of 1.85ºC.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
1.85 °C
