First-aid measures
Description of first aid measures
General information:
When in doubt or if symptoms are observed, get medical advice. If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical advice.
After inhalation:
Remove casualty to fresh air and keep warm and at rest. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration.
In case of skin contact:
Wash immediately with: Water Do not wash with: Solvents/Thinner In case of skin reactions, consult a physician.
After eye contact:
After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time, then consult an ophthalmologist immediately.
After ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. Keep at rest. Call a physician immediately.
Self-protection of the first aider:
No mouth-to-mouth or mouth-to-nose resuscitation. Use Ambu bag or ventilator.
Information to physician
Symptoms:
The following symptoms may occur: No known symptoms to date.
Treatment:
Treat symptomatically.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed:
No information available.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed:
None
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media
Alcohol resistant foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry extinguishing powder. Water mist
Unsuitable extinguishing media
High power water jet.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products
In case of fire may be liberated: Carbon monoxide. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Hydrogen fluoride.
Advice for firefighters
In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Special protective equipment for firefighters
In case of fire: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Additional information
Burning produces heavy smoke. Do not allow run-off from fire-fighting to enter drains or water courses.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Avoid generation of dust. Remove all sources of ignition. Provide adequate ventilation. See protective measures under point 7 and 8.
Environmental precautions
Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
For cleaning up
Take up mechanically. Avoid generation of dust. Collect in closed and suitable containers for disposal. Clean with detergents. Avoid solvent cleaners.
Reference to other sections
None
7. Handling
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Protective measures:
All work processes must always be designed so that the following is excluded: Inhalation of dust/particles Skin contact Eye contact. Generation/formation of dust Only use the material in places where open light, fire and other flammable sources can be kept away. After use replace the closing cap immediately. Wear personal protection equipment. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
Fire prevent measures:
Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Dust can form an explosive mixture with air. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Measures to prevent aerosol and dust generation:
Provide adequate ventilation as well as local exhaustion at critical locations.
Advices on general occupational hygiene:
When using do not eat, drink, smoke, sniff.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels:
Keep container tightly closed. Ensure adequate ventilation of the storage area. Restrict access to stockrooms.
Hints on storage assembly
Storage class : 13
Keep away from Strong acid. Strong alkali. Oxidising agent.
Further information on storage conditions:
Keep only in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated place.
Protect against : Heat. UV-radiation/sunlight. Humidity.
Specific end use(s):
None

Special precautions for user:
None
Exposure controls / personal protection
Eye / face protection:
Eye glasses with side protection
Remark:
Do not wear contact lenses.
Skin protection:
Hand protection:
The quality of the protective gloves resistant to chemicals must be chosen as a function of the specific working place concentration and quantity of hazardous substances.
Required properties : antistatic. dust-tight.
Additional hand protection measures : Check leak tightness / impermeability prior to use. Do not wear gloves near rotary machines and tools. Use gloves only once.
Remark : For special purposes, it is recommended to check the resistance to chemicals of the protective gloves mentioned above together with the supplier of these gloves.
Body protection:
For the protection against direct skin contact, body protective clothing is essential (in addition to the usual working clothes).
Unsuitable protective clothing : Overall.
Required properties : antistatic.
Remark : Only wear fitting, comfortable and clean protective clothing. Barrier creams are not substitutes for body
protection.
Respiratory protection:
If technical exhaust or ventilation measures are not possible or insufficient, respiratory protection must be worn.
Respiratory protection necessary at: exceeding exposure limit values Handling larger quantities. Dust formation.
Remark:
The filter class must be suitable for the maximum contaminant concentration (gas/vapour/aerosol/particulates) that may arise when handling the product. If the concentration is exceeded, self-contained breathing apparatus must be used.
General health and safety measures:
Wash hands before breaks and after work. When using do not eat, drink, smoke, sniff. Wash contaminated clothing prior to re-use. Thorough skin-cleansing after handling the product.
Additional information:
Preventive industrial medical examinations are to be offered.

Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
Product/Packaging disposal:
Waste treatment options
Appropriate disposal / Product:
Waste disposal according to EC directives 75/442/EEC and 91/689/EEC in the corresponding versions, covering waste and dangerous waste.
Appropriate disposal / Package:
Contaminated packages must be completely emptied and can be re-used following proper cleaning. Handle contaminated packages in the same way as the substance itself.
