Description of key information

Guideline studies are performed for all the required end-points using the registered substance as the test substance. These stuides presented in this dossier as end-point study records. Below is the description of key information.

Appearance:Organic substance with white to pale yellow colour, odourless, semi solid.

The following physical and chemical properties were determined for the test item

Mp:The melting temperature of the test item has been determined to be over the range -27 to 28 ˚C (246 to 301 K)in one study using differential scanning calorimetry method.

Bp:> 400˚C

Relative density:0.99 g/cm3 at 20°C

Vp: Vapour pressure is not technically possible to determine due to the high boliling point of the tets item.

Log Kow:For the registereed substance the partition coefficient ranged from > 2.4 to 3.65 at a temperature of 25±1 °C.

Sw: at 25 C±1°C. The pH : 7.6 to 8.2. Total solubility is <3.4 mg/L.

Surface tension:found to be 69.7 mN/m at the 25.0±0.5 °C.

A mean total solubility value, calculated by addition og water solubility values for the three components was determined. This was based on a test item loading of  12.5% with an incubation period of 1 to 5 days at a temperature of 25 C ±1°C. The pH range of the test solutions was 7.6 to 8.2. Total solubility is <3.4 mg/L.

With a flash point of 257.4 ˚C, the substance is not meeting the criteria for classification as flammable.

Auto flammability study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a solid having a melting point <=160Oc.

The substance is not meeting the CLP criteria for classification as flammable solid.

The substance does not meet the criteria for classification as explosive.

The substance is not considered to have oxidising properties.
