- UN Test 1 (c) (i): Time/pressure test
- Parameter:
- other: pressure
- Result:
- negative, no ability to deflagrate
- Remarks on result:
- p < 2070 kPa
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- Bayscript gelb GGN is classified as not explosive.
- Executive summary:
Due to the result of the thermal stability (DTA) the performance of the UN-Test-Series 1 was necessary for Bayscript gelb GGN, but without the test type (a) (UN gap test) (Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods - Manual of Tests and Criteria (UN-MTC), Appendix 6, point 3, Note).
A Koenen-Test was conducted to determine the effect of heating under confinement and a time/pressure test to determine the effect of igintion under confinement. Bayscript gelb GGN did neither show evidences of explosivity nor of deflagration. Thus, Bayscript gelb GGN is classified as not explosive.

Description of key information
UN-Test-Series 1 was performed for Bayscript gelb GGN. A Koenen-Test was conducted to determine the effect of heating under confinement and a time/pressure test to determine the effect of ignition under confinement. Bayscript gelb GGN did neither show evidences of explosivity nor of deflagration. Thus, Bayscript gelb GGN is classified as not explosive.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Explosiveness:
- non explosive
Additional information
Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on the available data Bayscript gelb GGN is classified as not explosive.
