They contain metals that are insoluble and do not contaminate soil or groundwater.

Disposal considerations
Material from removed/replaced structures containing FeCr-slag products does not have any
special disposal requirements. It is recommended that the material is covered with
soil for landscaping. Ferrochrome slag products are water-permeable and not suitable for culture media.
Ferrochrome slag products meet the landifll acceptance criteria for inert waste
for all metals they contain.
