Description of key information

Not applicable.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The substance is inorganic, and thus according to REACh legislation, Annex VII, 7.8, column 2, the study does not need to be conducted, if the substance is inorganic. Further, disodium metasilicate is insoluble in alcohol indicating that this would also apply to n-octanol. The octanol/water partition coefficient is therefore not applicable.
