Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The substance was not acutely toxic to Danio rerio when tested according to OECD 203. In their calculation of the LC50 values, the authors appear not to have taken into account the 10% mortality that occurred in the 10% Tween 80 vehicle control group at 48, 72 and 96 hours.

Doing so could raise the LC0 values to:

48 hr LC0 = 260 mg/L (nominal) or 156 mg/L (60% of the nominal concentration)

72 hr LC0 = 100 mg/L (nominal) or 60 mg/L (60% of the nominal concentration)

96 hr LC0 = 100 mg/L (nominal) or 60 mg/L (60% of the nominal concentration)

Applying this alternative interpretation of the LC0 values raises the calculated LC50 values to:

72 hr LC50 = 189.7 mg/L (from nominal concentrations) or 113.8 mg/L (from 60% of nominal concentrations)

96 hr LC50 = 189.7 mg/L (from nominal concentrations) or 113.8 mg/L (from 60% of nominal concentrations)

The substance was not acutely toxic to Daphnia magna when tested according to OECD 202. The 24 hr EC50 for was reported to be 245 - 347 mg/L (68% of the nominal concentration).

The substance was not acutely toxic to aquatic algae when tested according to OECD 201. The 72 hr EC50 based on growth rate was reported to be 500 mg/L (measured, arithmetic mean).

The substance was not acutely toxic to microorganisms when tested according to OECD 209. The 3 hr EC50 for activated sludge respiration inhibition was reported to be 270 mg/L (measured, arithmetic mean).
