Administration / exposure
- Route of administration:
- inhalation
- Type of inhalation exposure:
- whole body
- Vehicle:
- air
- Details on inhalation exposure:
- The chamber consists of 8.75 l, all glass container, into which air, containing vapors of the test material, is passed at a rate of 2 l/min. Filtered, compressed air is directed into a flask containing the test sample. The air may be either bubbled through the liquid or the stream of air may be directed down onto the surface of the test sample.
Under these conditions, the time required for th echamber atmosphere to reach 80% equilibrium with the incoming air-vapor mixture is 7.04 min and 99% equilibrium in about 20 min. - Analytical verification of test atmosphere concentrations:
- not specified
- Duration of exposure:
- 290 min
- Concentrations:
- The test concentrations were calculated by weighing the flask with the test material prior to and after the test.
- No. of animals per sex per dose:
- 5 males
- Control animals:
- not specified
- Details on study design:
- 5 male ICR mice were exposed in an inhalation chamber (8.75 l).Air flow 2 l/min. The air
(filtered compressed air) was bubbled through the liquid test material.
