Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye contact: Wash with plenty of water. If symptoms persist call a physician.
Skin Contact: Wash off with warm water and soap. If skin irritation persists call a physician
Inhalation: Move to fresh air.
Ingestion: Immediate medical attention is not required.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Carbon dioxide (CO2), foam, dry powder, water. Use extinguishing media that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Material can create slippery conditions. Avoid dust formation if handling powder. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so.
Methods for clean-up: Avoid dust formation. Sweep up and shovel into containers for disposal. Clean contaminated areas thoroughly.
Handling and storage
Handling
Wear personal protective equipment. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Avoid dust formation.
Storage
Keep containers dry and tightly closed to avoid moisture absorption and contamination.
