Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The proportion of test item having an inhalable particle size of less than 100 µm was determined to be 0.1%. The test item was therefore considered to be essentially non-inhalable.

Additional information

The test was performed according to 'Particle Size Distribution, Fibre Length and Diameter Distribution’, June 1996 European Commission technical guidance document, which satisfies the requirements of OECD Guideline 110, 12 May 1981. No deviation from the guideline was observed during the test.

The test item was observed to be a uniform, granular solid. The preliminary screening test indicated the absence of any fine particle fraction within the test item. It was therefore possible to conclude that that the test item was of a particle size distribution that was essentially non-inhalable without the need to complete the cascade impactor assessment.
