Description of key information

NaF will rapidly dissociate in water at environmentally relevant pH to form sodium and fluoride ions.

In accordance with Annex VIII, column 2 a study does not need to be conducted as the substance is readily ionised under aqueous conditions in the environment to form fluoride ions which will combine to form various inorganic fluoride salts and organic complexes.
