First-aid measures

General advice: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.

Dust inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Keep under medical surveillance. In case of problems : Hospitalise.

Skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of water. If significant contact: Keep under medical surveillance. Hospitalise.

Eye contact: Wash open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly for at least 15 minutes. Consult an ophthalmologist immediately.      

Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Hospitalise.

Protection of first-aiders: In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Protective suit

Hygiene measures: Prohibit inhalation of dust. Prohibit contact with skin and eyes. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.

EXPOSURE CONTROLS:


This substance must be handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with  REACH regulation  Article 18(4).


Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems must be available at each Manufacturing/using site.


Written confirmation of application of strictly controlled conditions has been received from every affected downstream manufacturer/user of this substance.


 


General protective measures:    Use high integrity methods of material loading and unloading. Investigate engineering techniques to reduce exposures. Ensure sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work areas. Routine monitoring and inspection for leaks to reduce fugitive emissions.
