Results and discussion

Details on results:
Compared to vehicle treated animals there was an increase
regarding the cell counts in the highest dose group. This
change was of statistical significance and the "positive
level" of index 1.4 was just exceeded.

A statistically significant increase compared to vehicle
treated animals regarding ear swelling and ear weight was
detected in the highest dose group. These results point to
an acute inflammatory reaction due to irritating properties
of the test item. An increase in this parameter would point
to an acute irritating (inflammatory) response.

Such an irritating property is also combined with a strong
skin sensitizing potential of a test compound, which,
however, was not detected here.

The results show that the test item has a moderate
sensitizing potential in mice after dermal application.
