Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

General information: Seek medical assistance if discomfort continues

After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. Call in a physician immediately and show him the Safety Data Sheet.

After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with soap and water

After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice

After ingestion: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging.

Symptoms: Cyanosis

Hazards: No hazards known at this time.

Treatment: Treat symptomatically.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: water spray jet, foam

Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrous gases (NOx), Hydrogen chloride (HCl)

Special protective equipment for firefighting: Use self-contained breathing apparatus

Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear suitable personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains or waterways

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:

Take up mechanically. Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling:

Keep the formation and deposition of dust to a minimum. Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary).

Advice on protection against fire and explosion:

Keep away from sources of ignition - refrain from smoking. Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep only in the original container

Further information on storage conditions: Keep container tightly closed. Storage: cool

Exposure controls / personal protection

During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance with Art. 18.

Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize release and exposure of this substance. National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.

Exposure limit values are not available.

DNEL/DMEL values are not available.

PNEC values are not available.

General protective measures: Do not inhale dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin

Hygiene measures: Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Wash hands before breaks and after work.

Respiratory protection : Use respiratory protection in case of insufficient exhaust ventilation or prolonged exposure

Hand protection :

PVC/ Nitrile rubber gloves. Minimum thickness / gloves 1,2 mm.

With solid dry substances permeation is not to be expected, therefore the breakthrough-time for this protective glove has not been measured.

These types of protective gloves are offered by various manufacturers. Please note the manufacturers´ detailed statements, especially about the minimum thickness and the minimum breakthrough time. Consider also the particular working conditions under which the gloves are being used.

Eye protection : safety glasses/face shield

Body protection : working clothes

Stability and reactivity

Chemical stability: Stable.

Possibility of hazardous reactions: When handled and stored appropriately no dangerous reactions are known

Incompatible materials: not known

Hazardous decomposition products: Nitrous gases, Hydrogen chloride (HCl)

Disposal considerations

Product: Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators

Uncleaned packaging: Packaging that cannot be cleaned should be disposed of as product waste
