Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
1. General information
Get medical advice/ attention if you feel unwell.
Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Treat symptomatically.
2. After inhalation
Immediately remove to fresh air. Consult a physician if irritating symptoms develop and persist.
3. After contact with skin
In case of contact, immediately flush skin with soap and plenty of water.
If skin irritation persists, call a physician.
4. After contact with eyes
Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Consult a physician.
5. After ingestion
Rinse mouth with water.
Do NOT induce vomiting.
In the case of accident or if you feel unwell, seek medical advice immediately (show the label where possible).
6. Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms:
No symptoms known currently
7. Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treatment:
Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
1. Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media
Water mist
water
Dry powder
Carbon dioxide (CO2)
2. Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
In case of fire hazardous decomposition products may be produced such as:
Carbon oxides
Emits toxic and corrosive fumes under fire conditions.
3. Advice for firefighters
Special protective equipment for firefighting
Self-contained breathing apparatus
Further information
Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
Accidental release measures
1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Wear suitable protective equipment.
Ensure adequate ventilation.
2. Environmental precautions
The product should not be allowed to enter drains, water courses or the soil.
3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Pick up mechanically. Rinse away rest with water.
Avoid dust formation.
Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge.
Risk of dust explosion.
Treat recovered material as described in the section "Disposal considerations".
Handling and storage
1. Precautions for safe handling
Advice on safe handling
No special measures necessary if stored and handled as prescribed.
Keep container tightly closed.
Avoid formation of aerosol.
Provide adequate ventilation.
2. Hygiene measures
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday.
Use protective skin cream before handling the product.
Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse.
3. Advice on protection against fire and explosion
Keep away sources of ignition.
Take precautionary measures against build-up of electrostatic charges, e.g earthing during loading and off-loading operations.
Dust can form an explosive mixture in air.
4. Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Further information on storage conditions
Keep container closed.
