Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Decomposition:
yes
Decomp. temp.:
300 °C

Any other information on results incl. tables

The exothermal (decomposition) reaction shows an onset at approximately 300 °C (taken as decomposition temperature) and a peak at 313.82 °C in the DTA curve, the reaction energy of the decomposition being -150 J/g (mean from 2 measurements).

No discernible endothermal reaction (melting) was seen in the DTA.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Decomposition starts without discernible melting, the decomposition temperature is 300 °C.
Executive summary:

The DTA shows decomposition starting at 300 °C without discernible melting prior to decomposition.
