Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Data for the physico-chemical properties of sodium metavanadate was provided based on studies for the following endpoints:

(i) density

(ii) granulometry and dustiness testing

(iii) water solubility and transformation/dissolution testing

(iv) oxidising properties

The other endpoints (i.e. appearance, melting point and flammability) are based on handbook data and/or long time experiences in handling.

It is noted here that handbook data for physico-chemical properties are considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance" and therefore, these data were considered reliable.

The results of the studies are reported in the endpoint summary as well as in the accompanying IUCLID database. Data for several endpoints were waived due to intrinsic properties of sodium metavanadate and/or based on the criteria as laid down in regulation (EC) 1907/2008.
