Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is highly insoluble in water

Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
Waiving according to "column 2" in Annex VIII of REGULATION (EC) No 1907/2006 (substance is highly insoluble in water).
According to Appendix R7-1 for nanomaterials applicable to Chapter R7b (Endpoint specific guidance) Version 2.0 - May 2017, 'The chemical structure of the nanomaterial and whether it contains functional groups which could be subject to hydrolysis dictate whether a hydrolysis test is necessary or appropriate. If the nanoparticle is coated or functionalised, then abiotic degradation, e.g. hydrolysis of the substance, must be considered.' However, the nanoform is not functionalised and has no surface treatment. Thus, the study is not deemed necessary.
