Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Seek medical attention if you feel unwell
or if exposure prolonged.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 10
minutes taking care to wash under the eyelids. Seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected skin with soap
and plenty of water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Affected person should drink 500 - 800 ml water, if possible
with suspended activated carbon for medical use. In case of
spontaneous vomiting be sure that vomitus can freely drain
because of danger of suffocation. Give water repeatedly.
Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth if the
victim is unconsious or having convulsions. Seek medical
attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: carbon dioxide, foam, dry powder, water spray
Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, toxic gases/vapours
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing. Wear a self-contained breathing
apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Dam in leaked liquid with suitable material (e.g. earth).
Take up using liquid-binding material, e.g. kieselguhr. Pump
off larger quantities into suitable containers. Dispose of
in containers labelled ac-cording to the regulations.
Observe local official regulations.
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
While taking up the substance, prevent skin and eye contact
as well as inhalation of it. For this pur-pose, wear the
personal protective equipment described under "handling".
Do not discharge into drains/surface waters/groundwater.
Handling and storage
Handling: All working methods must always be designed so that exposure
by inhalation of the substance and by skin contact is
minimized. Closed or at least splashproof equipment should
be used during filling, transfer and metered feeding as well
as during sampling. In the case of handling in open systems,
any dust/vapours/aerosols that can form must be extracted
directly at the point of origin. The extracted air should
only be returned to the work area after adequate cleaning
using tested equipment. If technical extraction or
ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient,
respiratory protection (e.g. bei offener Handhabung:
Schürze, Chemikalienschutzhandschuhe und Halbmaske mit
Staubfilter P3 oder Vollmaske mit Filter ABEK-P3) should
be worn. To avoid skin contact, tested protective gloves
(e.g. Durchbruchzeit >= 120 min nach EN 374 / ASTM F 739:
Butylkautschuk / IR (>= 0.5 mm); Polychloropren /
CR (>= 0.5 mm); Nitrilkautschuk / NBR (>= 0.5 mm) and
suitable protective clothing (e.g. :::) must be worn.
Adequate washing facilities should be available in the
immediate vicinity of the work area. After skin contact, the
affected parts of the skin should be cleaned thoroughly
using (sofort mit viel Wasser und Seife abwaschen oder
duschen). Special skin-protection and skin-care measures
are recommended. A skin-protection plan should be drawn up.
Outdoor clothing should be kept separate from working
clothes.
Do not eat, drink or smoke at the workplace.
Storage: For the storage the original packaging drums or other
unbreakable and correctly labelled containers are to be
used. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well
ventilated place and secure by suitable measures against
falling down. Avoid product residues on the packing drums.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Iso-container.
