Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Short-term fish, Daphnia and algae toxicity studies are available on the test substance. Based on the results from the available studies, fish has been identified to be the most sensitive species. The short-term 96 h EC50 value for the test substance in fish was determined to be 18 mg/L (measured) and the long-term equivalent EC10 value from the algae study was at 37.3 mg/L (measured). Considering that the test substance is not readily biodegradable and based on the acute toxicity data, the test substance warrants an ‘Aquatic Chronic Cat. 3’ (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) classification according to the EU CLP criteria (EC 1272/2008). However, based on long-term term data from the algae study, the test substance does not warrant any classification for chronic aquatic toxicity. Therefore, the more stringent classification as ‘Aquatic Chronic Cat. 3’ (H412: Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects) has been taken forward for the test substance.
