Administrative data

First-aid measures

After inhalation: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. In the event of symptoms take medical treatment.

After contact with skin: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with plenty of water. Consult a doctor if skin irritation persists.

After contact with eyes: In case of contact with eyes rinse thoroughly with plenty of water. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

After ingestion: Thoroughly clean the mouth with water. Call for medical advice immediately; show this safety data sheet.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media:       Foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, water spray.

Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Full water jet.

Special hazards from the substance itself, its combustion products or from its vapours: In the event of fire the following can be released:

- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)

- carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases, use self-contained breathing apparatus.

Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations. Cool endangered containers with water spray jet.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.

Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains or waterways. Do not discharge into the subsoil/soil.

Methods for cleaning up/taking up: Take up mechanically and dispose of. Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations.

Handling:

Advice on safe handling: When working with the product vapors/aerosols may be evolved; therefore a local exhaust and ventilation are recommended.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Cool endangered containers by water spray.

Storage:

Keep container tightly closed in a well-ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

General protective measures:       Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not inhale vapours.

Hygiene measures: At work do not eat, drink, smoke or take drugs. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately. Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages.

Respiratory protection: In case of formation of vapours/aerosols: Respiratory protection mask with combination filter A-P2.

Hand protection: PVC gloves

Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety glasses.

Skin and body protection: Light protective clothing. A protective ointment is recommended.
