Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: If you feel unwell, seek medical advise (show the lable if

possible).

Emergency measure - Eyes: In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty

of water and seek medical advise.

Emergency measure - Skin: In case of contact with skin, wash with soap and plenty of

water.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: If swalloed drink plenty of water and seek medical advise

immediately, show package or label.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Foam, CO2, dry extinguishing powder, water mist

Product arising from burning: Burning:     CO, CO2, HCl, NOX

Pyrolysis:   HCl, others not known

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Normal protection clothing with oxygen apparatus

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Spilt product has to be moistened or covered with wet inert

material before taken up.

Use industrial vacuum cleaners.

The waste material should be transfered into correctly

labelled containers.

During handling of the spilt material wear impermeable

gloves, face protection and if necessary a respirator.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance is dedicated exclusively for furhter

processing.

Therefore, exposition to it in an appropriate production

facility is only perceivable during transfer from the

transportation container into the reaction apparatus.

If dust formation is not definitely avoidable appropriate

protecting clothing must be worn including gloves and

protection glasses, also, if necessary, a dust mask. Use

dust-proof filling/refilling systems and provide a local

exhaust device.

Storage: The product should only be stored in the original container

at a cool, well ventilated place separate from food. The

containers should be kept dry and closed.

Secure containers against fall-down.

Avoid product residues on containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: While handling larger amounts appropriate measures should be

taken against electrostatic charging

Chemical reaction with water: none

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Dissolution in water / removal of mechanical impurities /

purification by physical-chemical treatment (e.g.

recristalisation)

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Boiling of a solution with oxidizing agent and alcali.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: underground waste disposal / not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Residues of the substance as an intermediate of a

pharmaceutics have to be incinerated in a suitable

incineration plant with scrubber for NOX and HCl

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: none

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance is used only in the industrial area. Upon

transportation incidents (spills) sweep-up together with

dust binding additives and return to manufacturer in tightly

closed containers.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Product residues which are not further treatable have to be

disposed of in a suitable incineration plant
