Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item diisobutyl phosphate in demineralized water was determined with the shake flask method at 20 °C according to OECD 105 and OPPTS 830.7840. A quantity of the test item necessary for saturation was weighed into Erlenmeyer flasks, demineralized water was added. The concentration of the test item in the aqueous test solutions was determined by HPLC analysis with MS-detection.

Stirring time for the water solubility test were:

Flask A:       96 hours at 20 °C

Flask B:       72 hours at 20 °C

Flask C:       48 hours at 20 °C

Flask D:       72 hours at 10 °C and 24 hours at 20 °C.

The water solubility of diisobutyl phosphate in demineralized water at 20 °C is determined to be: 22.3 g/L
