Titration of acidity and alkalinity

Details on titrant used:
10.0 g of sample is weighed into a beaker with 100 mL reagent water it is stirred until the complete dissolution and then titrated electrometrically with 0.1M NaOH standard solution at ambient temperature to an endpoint of pH 7.
The result is average of three determinations.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The value of pH, acidity and alkalinity of test item, Hexyl Nitrite, was measured.

The procedure was performed according to the method OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals No. 122, Determination of pH, Acidity and Alkalinity, Adopted 26 July 2013.

The value of pH of 1% test item solution, Hexyl Nitrite, is 3.46 at 24.5 °C.

Acidity of the test item, Hexyl Nitrite, was determined using standardized sodium hydroxide solution.

Acidity (calculated as H2SO4) is 0.09 % (w/w).

Standard uncertainty is 0.004 %*.
* Uncertainty is expressed as expanded standard deviation (coverage factor 2).

Test temperature was ca. 24°C.
