Administrative data
First-aid measures
General Information: Move affected person to fresh air and keep warm and at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and keep patient at rest. If necessary obtain medical advice.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. If necessary seek medical advice.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. Get medical attention if any discomfort continues.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists after washing. Show this Safety Data Sheet to the medical personnel.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Use fire-extinguishing media suitable for the surrounding fire. Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture
Hazardous combustion products: Oxides of carbon.
Advice for firefighters
Protective actions during firefighting: Control run-off water by containing and keeping it out of sewers and watercourses.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus and fire kit.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Personal precautions: Wear protective clothing as described in the exposure controls / personal protection section below.
Environmental precautions
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground.
6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Wear suitable personal protective equipment. Contain spillage, absorb onto an inert material (e.g. sand, vermiculite). Take up mechanically (e.g. sweep up) into suitable containers, and dispose of as hazardous waste.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Usage precautions: For personal protection, refer to the section below on Exposure controls / personal protection.
Conditions for safe storage, Including any incompatibilities
Storage precautions: Store in tightly closed container in a dry, cool and well ventilated place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Control parameters
Occupational exposure limits
No occupational exposure limit has been set for this substance.
Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls: Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls as the primary means to minimise worker exposure. Personal protective equipment should only be used if worker exposure cannot be controlled adequately by the engineering control measures.
Personal protection: Avoid inhalation, and contact with skin, eye and clothing.
Eye/face protection: Use approved safety goggles or glasses. Use equipment for eye protection tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or EN 166(EU).
Hand protection: Handle with gloves. Gloves must be inspected prior to use. Use proper glove removal technique (without touching glove's outer surface) to avoid skin contact with this product. Dispose of contaminated gloves after use in accordance with applicable laws and good laboratory practices. Wash and dry hands. The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
Other skin and body protection: Protective overalls.
Hygiene measures: Remove contaminated clothing and wash the skin thoroughly with soap and water after work.
Respiratory protection: Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as NIOSH (US) or CEN (EU).
Stability and reactivity
Reactivity: There are no known reactivity hazards associated with this product.
Chemical stability: Stable at normal ambient temperatures.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Not determined.
Conditions to avoid:Avoid heat, flames and other sources of ignition.
Materials to avoid: Strong oxidising agents.
Hazardous decomposition products: Oxides of carbon.
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods
General Information Waste is classified as non-hazardous waste. Disposal to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with national and local authority regulations.
Disposal methods Dispose of waste to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with the requirements of the local Waste Disposal Authority.
