Endpoint:
flammable liquids: obsolete as covered by section 'Flash point'
Study period:
28.8.2017
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
data waiving: supporting information
Qualifier:
no guideline required
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Data waiving
GLP compliance:
no
Other quality assurance:
ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Fain 3, Batch number 406-407
Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
In the flash point test it was noticed, that the flammability is over 100 C, when the liquid started to boil. Therefore the product cannot be classified as flammable.
(the upper limit for classification is 60 C). The product is only produced as a liquid with water in it, so testing the product as such is justified. In addition, it has been observed in practice, that even in higher temperatures over 100 C when the water has boiled, the leftover solid matter does not burn.
Executive summary:

The product is classified as nonflammable.
